Staff Development provides may resources for educators in Henrico County Public Schools. Links to these resources are frequently updated and will be added on this page. Check back often for new resources. Cohort Programs: HCPS has created partnerships with local universities to provide opportunities for employees to further their educational goals. Click the Cohort Programs link above or contact the Office of Staff Development for information on Masters Level Cohorts and Certificates. Teacher Leader Training: Based on requests from principals, specialists, and department chairs, a committee was created to gather input around the training needs of middle and high school department chairs. Training sessions for teacher leaders, including department chairs, will be provided during the summer of 2011 around two topics: Building and Sustaining Effective Teams and Leading From Within the Classroom. The 21st century classroom is one that is student-centered, project based, and focused on creating life-long learners.
