*Continuing contract teachers will be placed on a three-year (staggered-group) cycle. Principals will determine the cycle for continuing contract teachers.

*A supervisor may place a continuing contract teacher on Summative Evaluation at any point in time. While continuing contract teachers in Virginia are required to be evaluated at least one time every 3 years, it is up to the discretion of a supervisor to evaluate a teacher more often.

 

*The Non-Renewal/Non-Continuation Timeline should be followed for any teacher who is experiencing difficulty. See separate document.
